Local council advance business collaboration with a hybrid cloud solution

Automated Intelligence (AI) have won a contract with a Local Authority in England to deliver a user friendly, easily adopted hybrid cloud content management and collaboration platform for up to 3,000 users.

The local authority’s mission is to provide greater staff collaboration across various council directorates whilst maintaining control of sensitive data and reducing costs. To do this, AI are designing and implementing a hybrid SharePoint solution which leverages their current Microsoft investment.

Core to the solution is a SharePoint online Office 365 environment. This will enable council staff to access, consume and contribute to resources and content from almost anywhere. This will allow users to collaborate and do their jobs more effectively, helping them to deliver better citizen services. However, in line with their specific regulatory obligations, confidential and sensitive data will remain on-premise for added protection and security. To enhance user experience, the two platforms will work seamlessly together with a single user interface.

Mark Godfrey, CEO of Automated Intelligence comments, “We are delighted to have won another contract with a local authority. We have been able to help them realise the cost and productivity benefits of moving to the cloud. Using a consultative process, we are designing a hybrid cloud solution that meets specific requirements.  We are delivering an easy to use and easily controlled solution that will allow the Council to manage and share information securely.”
