Automated Intelligence’s AI.DATALIFT platform has been successfully named as PCI DSS Compliant.

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard is an information security standard designed to ensure that companies that “process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.”

Organisations of all sizes must follow PCI DSS standards if they accept payment cards from the five major credit card brands – Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Japan Credit Bureau.

Automated Intelligence and sister brand hivera work with organisations worldwide which handle cardholder data, and we felt it was hugely important for us to maintain and demonstrate the very same level of security as our customers.

AI’s Security and Operations Manager Colin Flack said, “Securing this standard has been a lengthy, but very important process. We are a data management solution provider and therefore, didn’t need to undergo this qualification, but we felt it validates our stringent security practices.

“We have been awarded numerous cybersecurity qualifications and certifications in the past few years, but this has been by far the most detailed one that we’ve ever gone for.

“The PCI DSS standard is hugely technical with over 300 separate requirements, and an audit report that was more than 200 pages long. That gives you an idea of the sheer effort involved.

“Every member of our engineering team had a role to play, with months’ worth of work put into place before the final audit.

“It was a fantastic team effort and demonstrates to financial services organisations, or any company which accepts payments in fact, that working with AI and hivera means working with a provider that truly has a gold standard when it comes to data security and management.”
