Automated Intelligence (AI) is pleased to announce it has selected PIPS as its new charity partner for 2020.
PIPS (Public Initiative for Prevention of Suicide and Self-Harm) is a community-led charity, which delivers crucial suicide prevention and bereavement support services to those who have considered, or are considering, to end their own life.
The organisation was originally established following the tragic deaths of 14 young people over a short period of time. Since then, the dedicated team has provided suicide prevention training to thousands of people across Northern Ireland in the hopes of saving someone from suicide.
At AI, we selected PIPS as our charity of the year at a time when Northern Ireland faces a mental health crisis. We want to raise awareness of the various support services offered by PIPS such as counselling and therapy sessions.
As well as this we will also be hosting a number of fundraising events throughout the year in a bid to raise as much money as we can for the charity. This includes a planned bake-off event in March, where AI staff will bake (or purchase) delicious treats as part of our fundraising efforts.
PIPS delivers all of its services through donations alone, therefore we are keen to fundraise as much money as we possibly can. For more information on PIPS, visit its website here.
